Below was surprisingly effective for a first time author. The ultra creepy opening with immigrants asked to wait in the open water for their pickup was both effective and believable. For me, that was one of the best scenes in the book/5().

The book is a thriller and has been compared to " Jaws." I certainly agree. "Below" has that same S-Oceans Below book of suspense and is S-Oceans Below book story about creatures in the ocean that become a threat to humans.

I found the book enjoyable and I was on the edge of my seat during the last pages. Because of this, I give the book 4 stars and recommend it/5.
